Gaunt, with close-clipped hair, van Gogh portrayed himself as a counterpart to a Japanese bonze, a simple follower of the Buddha. Van Gogh hoped that a circle of like-minded artists would gather in Arles, and he envisioned Paul Gauguin as the head of the fellowship. With Self-Portrait Dedicated to Paul Gauguin (Bonze), dedicated to the older painter, Vincent van Gogh expressed his intense desire to follow Gauguin's bold direction in art. Our 5 top picks for the best cleaning business software options

yellow house

The reason mHelpDesk tops this list is because while they are a bit on the pricey side, we found this software option to be the easiest to use in all of field service management. Also, since most cleaning jobs are fairly straightforward and there isn't a huge amount of variation, you often won't need the expensive, feature-laden versions that are out there. A maid service software program that will receive calls, track customer information, handle administrative tasks, schedule cleanings, and dispatch your cleaners is probably all you'll need.

Royal Blue, Turquoise, and White

You get a powerful cloud-based field service software option that is also simple to use -- two important attributes for anyone in your line of work. Most field service management software options should meet your needs, but we chose the following five options based on how well they were likely to meet the needs of a typical cleaning business. In many small businesses, your accountant also doubles as your payroll person.

That said, it's super important to have a fully loaded emergency fund as a homeowner, because you never know what issue might arise out of the blue. Remember, your home inspection gives you a snapshot of the condition of your home at that moment in time. Much of the time, when you buy a home, you're going to have to deal with a pest control issue at some point.

The ruby red brick exterior features a navy blue painted door, white windows, and a brownstone entry frame. The traditional combination can easily be replicated with red, navy blue, white, and brown paints. The right exterior house colors can make or break a first impression. “Paint sets the tone for what you want your home to express,” Katie Burnet, an interior designer with Rumor Designs in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, says.

QuickBooks Online Payroll offers three plans, starting at $22.50/month for the first three months, with all three plans offering full-service payroll. One of the biggest things to consider when choosing a payroll service or software is whether it will integrate with your accounting software. If you’re using QuickBooks Online, that’s one less thing to worry about.

Artist Frances Schultz’s Bee Cottage in East Hampton, New York, is a prime example. The dark brown front door and landscaping (especially over the doorway!) enhance the dreamy locale. A golden yellow exterior will transform the whole neighborhood’s energy for the better.

Next, we'll take a detailed look at the portrait that was meant to be the centerpiece. Keep reading to see one of the most well-known portraits that Vincent van Gogh painted during his time in Arles, France. In Vincent van Gogh's 1888 work The Sower, the bright color contrasts and the articulation of the tree trunk mark Vincent's return to the spirit of the Japanese print. The germination of ideas seemed as natural and necessary to Vincent as the cultivation of the land. Vincent van Gogh painted The Red Vineyard in 1888, some time after Paul Gauguin arrived in Arles, France.

He occupied two large ones on the ground floor to serve as an atelier (workshop) and kitchen, and on the first floor, two smaller ones facing Place Lamartine. The window on the first floor nearest the corner with both shutters open is that of van Gogh's guest room, where Paul Gauguin lived for nine weeks from late October 1888. Behind the next window, with shutters nearly closed, is van Gogh's bedroom.

Interestingly, they crave salt and are often found visiting deposits of minerals on the ground. Listen below as the male Lawrence’s Goldfinch sings several high-pitched notes mixed with some of their call notes. Typically they are musical than other finches, and they can often imitate other birds. Look for these birds gathering in large groups, which can number up to several hundred individuals.

Like most of the state’s finches, these are backyard ‘pets’ who like to gather near bird feeders, baths, and in the sporadic groups of trees in residential neighborhoods. Pine Grosbeaks frequently visit feeders, especially during the winter. If you want to attract them, try using a hopper or platform feeder because of the bird’s larger size. These energetic little birds are known for their vibrant, fuchsia-colored throats and bright, emerald-green backs. Slightly larger than a Rufous Hummingbird, they—like most of their type—Anna’s Hummingbirds are often seen busily flitting from flower to flower. These colorful little creatures love gardens and city parks, and can be seen buzzing and diving during courtship to catch the attention of suitors.

75 Beautiful Living Room Ideas and Designs April 2024

living room design inspiration

And if shiplap is a bit too beach house vibes for you, try DIY wall paneling using beading. This living room might have original paneling but you can achieve a very similar look, and give yourself a pat on the back for your carpentry prowess. Add subtle layers of interest to a serene living room scheme with quiet patterns in neutrals that nurture without vying for attention. We love Society6's versatile and vast collection of affordable, design-led art prints, created by a community of indie artists.

Update the Fireplace

If your current carpet is looking a bit worse for wear, a super easy rectify is to cover it up with a space-changing living room rug idea. And we mean massive – pick an area rug that's going to go at least slightly under your furniture too so it looks almost like the rug is the carpet. The plants you choose will add to the style of your living room too – a palm will add an exotic boho feel, while a bonsai will add a polished and more structured look. We love the repetition of green and pink in this lounge decor as it draws the eye across the room, and, the colors work perfectly together, dispelling the myth that pink and green should never be seen. 'Having spent prolonged periods of time at home with the whole family, we've certainly seen a shift away from occasional seating, to much more expansive comfort.

Add in Warm Wood Elements

living room design inspiration

Features like wainscoting should be highlighted, like designer Gail Davis of Gail Davis Designs did here. The warm blue color mixed with traditional wallpaper creates a nice juxtaposition of old meets new. "This cozy spot is nestled among trees in the Pacific Northwest," Cathie Hong of Cathie Hong Interiors explains. "We really embraced the existing warm gray walls and wood trim and layered in soft blush tones, creams, and some black for contrast."

Let There Be Light

The key is to make sure your window treatments still let in enough natural light. Ponterio is also over recessed downlighting and canned lights, which he says are not great for conversation or watching a show. “You want to see the effect of the lighting and not see the source, that’s the trick,” he notes. Another thing you can do to achieve a soft and warm glow is to add table lamps or decorative light fixtures and chandeliers. Suzanne Dawson of Suzanne Dawson Interiors in New York City and a mom of two teens, says she is crazy about smart fabrics from Kravet, especially the velvets.

Make Neutrals Interesting

As shown here, try layering a smaller patterned design over a larger natural textured rug for an added layer (quite literally) of tactility. Panelling adds detail to this sitting room (walls painted in Farrow & Ball's Off-Black), while a quirky side table adds character and greenery helps to bring the outside in. A painterly floral wallpaper provides a delicate backdrop to a beautiful and rich deep-blue velvet sofa. For the perfect finishing touch, add velvet cushions with a contrasting trim for a truly wonderful living room scheme. To create an inviting atmosphere, a colour-drenching technique has been applied in this sitting room, with the same shade of paint used on the skirting, walls and mouldings. We love how the rich rust hues complement the painted surfaces and natural wooden floorboards for a warm feel.

Choose Smart Lighting

"I added a cluster of art over the couch for some modern flairs." "My go-to-move is using a large circular mirror anywhere I can put one!" Sarah from Arbor & Co. says. "Most of the time I love to place them above the fireplaces when I style a living room." "When we were designing this space, we knew we needed more light so adding a large skylight was our first priority," the team behind Arbor & Co. says. "It opened up the room so much and added sunshine that was really needed."

This living room is proof that a mix of textures is key to a one-of-a-kind space. "I wanted to balance the rugged quality of all the wood in this post and beam home with a good dose of feminine energy," Christina Kim of Christina Kim Interior Design explains. "We brought in a soft down-filled sectional, pretty blush fabrics, soft drapery, and a pair of ladylike lamps to create that great juxtaposition." By bringing in outdoor elements like raw wood and a few ferns, as Mani Tagba of Afro Bohemian Living did here, you're able to create a seamless integration with your outdoor spaces. If you want a more relaxed vibe, go for soft texture, plenty of pillows and throws, and lots of personal touches.

Carve Out a Window Seat

"My client has four little kids, so she wanted a cozy but uncluttered space for her family to gather and spend time together." If you have young children or pets, consider high-performance fabrics. If you love to entertain, think about including a bar cart or extra seating in the layout.

Meanwhile, the botanical print artwork becomes a focal point above the fireplace and ties in perfectly with the dusky pink walls, which create a calming and restorative living space. This contemporary, open-plan living space embraces a modern rustic feel. The beamed ceiling is a nod to the rustic setting, while a mix of vintage pieces blend with contemporary designs including the sofa. Yes, you love your kids and all the other family members, but scattering a dozen framed photos throughout the living room can be a bit much, not to mention messy. Dawson recommends curating them into a cool photo gallery wall with a smattering of current and back-in-the-day pictures that reflect your family’s personal story. To make a real statement consider painting an accent wall with teal or another bold color.

If you've got a bold personality, design a living space that reflects that. Take note from Reena Sotropa of In House Design Group and don't fear more than one statement piece. Think a wallpapered ceiling, moody wall color, statement lighting and trendy furniture, like a green couch.

This high contrast style can be achieved with or without the exposed ceilings or naked pipes. With a bit of imagination, you can take any living space and render it industrial with the right accent furniture. Consider a chaise in lieu of more armchairs, especially if you have a small space or need extra seating. “They can help break up the monotony of sofas and chairs and are a little unexpected, says Megan Evans of Megan Evans Interiors in Covington, Louisiana. “Layer them up with pillows or a throw for the perfect napping or reading spot."

After the layout, you're going to want to start thinking colors. If you are unsure to start, we'd always say base a scheme around the largest piece of furniture in the room – a dream sofa. There's this tendency when it comes to living rooms to push everything up against walls, stick a DIY coffee table in the middle and make sure everything is angled towards the TV.

Keep scrolling for our favorite living room ideas straight from the pros. If James Williams and Jonno Burden’s living room is any indication, the only way to go really is up. The duo accented their 30-foot-tall ceiling with two clusters of custom light pendants, drawing the eye upward and creating a light, airy space in the process.

Old State House Museum

old state house boston

In July of 1776, the Declaration of Independence was reading to the city from the second story balcony. A lion and unicorn (symbols of Royal authority) that graced the edifice of the building were torn down and burned by the patriots. Operated by Revolutionary Spaces, Old State House served as the seat of colonial and state governments of Massachusetts. Visitors can learn more about early colonial and revolutionary history and enter rooms where history happened.

Key Historic Sites to See in Rome

On July 18, 1776, Bostonians gathered under the balcony of Old State to hear for the first time the Declaration of Independence. It is one of the landmarks on Boston's Freedom Trail and is the oldest surviving public building in Boston. It now serves as a history museum that was operated by the Bostonian Society through 2019. After the American army gained control of Boston from the British in March of 1776, the Old State House became the seat of government for the new state of Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Town House: seat of colony government 1713–1776

The Bostonian Society was formed in 1881 to preserve and steward the Old State House, in response to plans for the possible demolition of the building due to real estate potential. The entrance to the Old State House is located on the south side of the building, facing the pedestrian walkway, just a few steps off the red brick line of The Freedom Trail. Journey through this Freedom Trail museum filled with a vivid collection of Revolution-era artifacts and other one-of-a-kind objects from the past, each one contributing to the amazing story of Revolutionary Boston. Highlights include John Hancock's lavish red velvet coat, arms and ammunition from Revolutionary War battles, and tea salvaged from the Boston Tea Party.

The Boston Antiquarian Club reorganizes as the Bostonian Society and creates a museum of Boston’s history inside the Old State House. Recreations of the former lion and unicorn statues are reinstalled on the building. The Old State House was also part of the Boston Massacre of 1770, as attested to by a plaque beneath its balcony which indicates that this was the location where British soldiers fired into a group of Bostonians. This balcony was the scene of happier times on 18 July 1776, when Colonel Thomas Crafts read out the Declaration of Independence to the public for the first time. A cobblestone circle beneath the Old State House balcony marks the site of the 1770 Boston Massacre.

The Old State House was originally completed in 1713 and served the multiple functions of being a merchant’s hall and the seat of the colonial government. However, a fire in 1747 meant that it had to be rebuilt to a great extent in 1748 and further restoration and changes were made to the Old State House in 1830. In the cacophony of taunts, screams, and church bells ringing, one of the soldiers was struck. Most of the other soldiers opened fired in response, thinking an order had been given. The captain never gave an order, but as the balls flew through the street, men fell dead and wounded. The first bloodshed of the Revolution fell on to the ice and snow in front of the Old State House.

Don't forget to sit in the Royal Governor's chair inside the newly restored King's Council Chamber and experience what it was like to be the most powerful person in Colonial America. Both Otis and Adams, as well as Adams' cousin Samuel and merchant John Hancock, served as representatives in the Massachusetts provincial legislature. Samuel Adams and James Otis proved to be among some of the most notorious members, arguing for measures which increasingly created friction with the royal governor and his supporters. The next stop on Freedom Trail is the site of the Boston Massacre, located on a busy street in front of the museum and commemorated by a cobblestone ring on the plaza in front of the Old State House. Recent preservation and restoration and future plans

The second floor housed the Royal Governor’s Council Chamber, Representatives’ Hall, and the Supreme Judicial Court. The assembly that met in Representatives’ Hall was one of the most democratic bodies in the colonial world, and featured the first public gallery in the Western world, where citizens could observe the government in action. Constructed in 1713, the Old State House (known as the “Town House” until the Revolution) was the center of royal government in Massachusetts Bay Colony and the focal point for many of the Revolution’s most dramatic events. The Boston Massacre unfolded in its shadow on March 5, 1770, and eyewitness accounts were collected inside in the subsequent days. The Declaration of Independence was read for the first time in Boston from the balcony of the Old State House on July 18, 1776.

Built in 1713, this historic landmark served as the seat of colonial and state governments as well as a merchants’ exchange. After 1798 and the completion of the current Massachusetts State House, the Old State House housed commercial space and offices, at one point housed City Hall, and today a museum to Boston's history. The second floor served as the seat of colonial and later state government throughout the 1700s. The royal governor, appointed by the King of Great Britain, held his office in the building until 1775, and from the balcony he gave voice to the King 3,000 miles removed from London. The governor's stature as surrogate for the crown was underscored by his elevated position upon the balcony which overlooked King Street.

In 1830, Isaiah Rogers alters the building's interior in a Greek Revival style, most notably adding the spiral staircase that remains today. The election of John Hancock as the first governor of the new state of Massachusetts is announced from the balcony. Today, standing amid the skyscrapers of downtown Boston, the Old State House tells the story of Boston’s role in the American Revolution and its connection to the American struggle to create and sustain a free society. Operated by Revolutionary Spaces and owned by the City of Boston, the Old State House is a designated a National Historic Landmark, a Boston Landmark, and a site within the Boston National Historical Park on the Freedom Trail. The incident began with local boys taunting a British sentry on a cold March night. Mobs of laborers, sailors, and others of "the lower sort" joined into the confrontation. A detachment of seven soldiers under command of a Captain eventually emerged on the scene to rescue the beleaguered sentry. When they crossed the square to reach him, the crowd formed around them and the captain had the men draw into a small perimeter, muskets loaded. The Old State House is today a popular tourist destination and still operated as a museum by a group called Revolutionary Spaces.

As important as what occurred inside the State House was what happened just outside its doors. It was in front of the Old State House where the Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770. Today a small ring of stones sits close to the location where eight British soldiers opened fire into a mob of colonists, killing five and wounding six. The event was important in garnering public support against British soldiers stationed in Boston. Following the event, patriot Paul Revere made an engraving a famous engraving of the event and situated prominently in the background of the image was the Old State House.

The Old State House in Boston played an important role in the American Revolution and is now one of the sites included in the Freedom Trail, a tourist trail made up of sixteen sites relating to the American Revolution against the British. After the American Revolution, the building served as the seat of the Massachusetts state government until 1798, when it moved to the Massachusetts State House.

After the government left, the building was used for offices and stores until 1881. In response, the Bostonian Society was formed to save the building and convert it to a museum. They restored the building to its pre-Revolutionary War appearance, including replicas of the lion and unicorn that were destroyed in 1776. Throughout its history, the courts and city, state, and colonial government met at the Old State House.

The writs permit customs officials to search for contraband goods without probable cause. Otis makes a four-hour speech in the Council Chamber of the Town House, defending the rights of citizens. The interior of the Town House is rebuilt and the iconic lion and unicorn statues are installed. In 1761, in part of what is known as Paxton’s Case, the Old State House was the scene of James Otis Junior’s famous speech against Writs of Assistance, British warrants which conferred wide search powers on their beneficiaries. Otis’s speech failed to extinguish these writs, but did add to the increasing dissatisfaction which eventually led to the American Revolution.

Through Massacre, Revolution, and fire, the Old State House stands as the oldest surviving public building in Boston. Built in 1713, the building served as the center of civic, political, and business life. But perhaps they would also have been pleased to know that eventually we came together again as free peoples and friends to defend together the very ideals for which the American Revolution was fought. The iconic lion and unicorn statues atop the east parapets of the Old State House are repaired. The Declaration of Independence is read by Colonel Thomas Crafts for the first time in Boston from the balcony of the Old State House. The brick Town House is built in 1713, replacing the previous wooden Town House, which had burned in a fire in 1711.

Experience Revolutionary Boston at the Old State House Museum and Boston Massacre Historic Site. Historically, the Old State House was the political, economic, and geographic center of the Massachusetts Bay colony since it was built in 1713, though a structure devoted to government has stood on its site since the mid 17th century. Because of the very ideals of self-government first expressed within the building, The Old State House has played host to the most influential minds that helped shaped the world as we know it today. On a cold March night in 1770, a beleaguered squadron of British soldiers opened fire in the square in front of this royal building, killing five individuals and wounding many others. By the next morning, leaders called the event a "bloody massacre." Six years later, shots were heard again in the square.

Revolutionary Spaces brings people together to explore the American struggle to create and sustain a free society, singularly evoked by Boston’s Old South Meeting House and Old State House. We steward these buildings as gathering spaces for the open exchange of ideas and the continuing practice of democracy, inspiring all who believe in the power of people to govern themselves. The copper lion and unicorn statues rendered by coppersmith, Moses H. Gulesian are installed. A confrontation between British soldiers and Bostonians takes place in the square in front of the Town House, leaving five people dead and many more wounded. This deadly event came to be known as the “Boston Massacre.” It was some of the first bloodshed in the years before the Revolution and marked a dramatic escalation in the disputes between the British and colonists. James Otis argues against the Writs of Assistance before the Superior Court, marking the first major protest against British laws.

In fact, jewelry projects have never looked so good. Make a beaded brooch to dress up any jacket, scarf, or cardigan. After doing lots of research, I chose to stain my beads using fabric dye because I wanted to see the wood grain and re-color lots of beads as efficiently as possible.

Then use your white beads to outline the bottom of the shark, adding in the few black beads you need. Use your bead tweezers to carefully pick up one blue bead at a time and place it onto your pegboard. It’s easiest if you start on the left side. Repeat the process with the other 3 strings.

The most common way is to use a split ring. To do this, simply open up the split ring with a pair of needle nose pliers and slide on the bead. You can also add additional beads if you want.

If you plan to make a lot of keychains, I highly recommend dying lots of beads at one time using the Mason jar method outlined here. This beautiful beaded heart pendant would be the perfect gift or accessory for Valentine’s Day. Make it into a keychain by attaching a key ring to the top of the structure.

No, it is not possible to make silicone beads at home. Silicone is a synthetic polymer that is not found in nature and can only be produced in factories with specialized equipment. The manufacturing process of silicone beads involves high temperatures and pressures that cannot be replicated at home.

You can find butterfly charms or pendants for your keychain at your local craft store, bead shops, or online bead and jewelry supply websites. There are many different styles, sizes, and materials available, so you can choose the ones that best fit your design aesthetic and budget. Open another jump ring and attach it to the first jump ring and your keychain. Change the way you look at beading patterns by adding some to your decor. Did you know you can create pillows, lamps and even coasters using beads? These projects can really change the look of your space and add a touch of sparkle.

There are many tutorials available online with step-by-step instructions that can guide you through the process. Make a DIY beaded keychain with butterflies using just a few materials and bring your keys to life. The bright beads and cute butterflies will cheer you up every time you look at them.

Now in one string insert a bead and make a knot. Found something you love but want to make it even more uniquely you? Many sellers on Etsy offer personalized, made-to-order items. Keep your kids engaged in summertime with this patriotic craft. You can do it in the run-up to 4th of July.

lake winnipesaukee cruise

If you’re staying in a vacation rental in Wolfeboro, or at the gorgeous Wolfeboro Inn, a popular Lake Winnipesaukee hotel, consider yourself lucky! You’re in America’s First Summer Resort, so dubbed because John Wentworth, the British colonial governor of New Hampshire, built a mansion in this lakefront town in 1770 (yes, even before America became America). One stretch of the ZipTour Zipline features an incredible 1.6 miles of soaring through the air, and the mountain views are phenomenal.

Hit The Boardwalk And Arcade At Weirs Beach

The Sophie C offers a variety of chips, snacks, and soft drinks, including a wide selection of ice cream novelty treats. Think of this option as a pontoon rental without the headache of driving on Winnipesaukee. Just tell the captain where you want to go and how fast. If you want to stop and relax and go for a swim, just tell your driver! We know the lake well and can pick a route for you based on your interests. We keep anchors on board in case you want to visit one of the famous Winnipesaukee sandbars and stay for a while.

Let an experienced local captain show you around

Sit back and relax as we take care of everything for you! Perfect for families, friends, or bachelorette and bachelor parties, our pontoon cruises offer a stress-free, fun-filled adventure for everyone. I am a commercially licensed Captain in the state of NH. I have had  an established business for three years now and about 70% of my business is from repeat customers.

Fishing in Lake Winnipesaukee River is a wonderful experience all year round, whether it’s from the shore, from boats, or on the ice. With more than a dozen types of fish like salmon, trout, bass, and more, Lake Winnipesaukee will offer you the fishing adventures you crave. Boating is the most popular attraction on Lake Winnipesaukee, whether it’s a dinner cruise or kayaking. With its many beautiful inlets and islands, it is just the beginning of things to do on Lake Winnipesaukee in the Lakes Region. If you prefer to do the driving yourself on Lake Winnipesaukee, consider renting a motorboat for fishing, tubing, or simply touring around for as little as half a day or up to a week or more.

They say you can reach up to 70 miles an hour on this zipline, and while I’m certain I didn’t (since you can control the speed yourself), I’d still call it quite exciting. This is the place to try your hand at skeeball, pinball, video games, and classic arcade games. Many of the games spit out tickets that you can turn in for prizes at the end of the day (or vacation — my kids would always hoard them to get something “big” before it was time to return home to Colorado). The following menu is provided to respresentative purposes.Menu items are subject to change without notice. Includes 2 ½ Hour Cruise with Brunch Service.Beverages available for purchase. The M/V Sophie C offers both indoor and outdoor seats, and all seats are positioned in rows.

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee in style with our pontoon boat rides! Our knowledgeable and experienced captains will show you all the hidden gems that this stunning lake has to offer, ensuring you have an unforgettable time. There’s nothing more epic, or elegant, than cutting through the lake on our head-turning antique boat. Reserve a ride on Miss Meredith, a 1931 Chris Craft runabout, to feel transported to another time and place. After all, Miss Meredith has a storied history of racing and winning boat show competitions. Our mahogany beauty also provides a dreamy backdrop to mark an engagement or once-in-a-lifetime photographs.

Special Occasions

Experience Lake Winnipesaukee in style and privacy. Kickback with your friends and family as our experienced captains cruise you around the lake, offering knowledgeable narrative on the lake’s surroundings and pointing out wildlife. Pack a cooler, eat lunch, splash around at a sand bar, and head to Wolfeboro, Weirs Beach, or Center Harbor – it’s completely up to you. No need to stress about renting a boat or navigating through an unfamiliar lake.

Let us take you on our pontoon boat and show you Lake Winnipesaukee in style.

For the past 20 years, my summer just isn’t summer without a family vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire’s largest lake, which stretches 72 square miles across the center of the state. My family and I visit the area annually, thanks to my mother, who spends the warm-weather months in a lakefront house there. There are many hotel and resort opportunities for you to enjoy our lakes and mountain wonderland. We have loads of helpful information here from local dining and lodging to adventures around the Winnipesaukee region.

Narrated daily cruises and evening dinner cruises aboard the majestic, 230-foot M/S Mount Washington depart from a dock at Weirs Beach and each lasts about 2.5 hours. It holds 1,250 passengers with interior and exterior seating. Shorter tours aboard the smaller M/V Sophie C., a working mailboat that delivers mail to island residents, and M/V Doris E.

From a narrated tour of the lake to a sunset dinner cruise, soak in the beautiful scenery of the quaint New England towns nestled on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, like Meredith, Weirs Beach or Wolfeboro. The frozen surface of the lakes is less than ideal for ice skating, and seeing someone on ice skates is very rare. You see a whole lot more ice skaters at The Plymouth State University Ice Arena which offers programs to the general public. Other outdoor, adventurous fun you can have at Gunstock in the summer includes an e-bike tour, an off-road Segway tour, and a Mountain Coaster ride. If you just want to kick back and relax while appreciating the pretty landscapes, consider a scenic chair-lift ride. In the Lakes Region, a scenic cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee is a fabulous way to get an overview of just how big, and how beautiful, the tree-lined, island-dotted lake really is.

Passengers under the age of 5 do not require a ticket, however they do require a seat. We strongly recommend that parties with young children arrive early to be certain you have seats for every member of the party. We only cancel in the event of thunder and lightning in the area. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy, please check the weather forecast ahead of time to see if you need to reschedule. US Coast Guard approved life jackets will be provided for all. Children 12 and under are required to wear life jackets.

This covers the extra time needed for travel to get to your dock and back. This option is good for Wolfeboro and Alton addresses only. Anywhere else on Winni is possible, just call us for an estimate. Lake Winnipesaukee Boat Tours was featured in The Laker, detailing the serene lake experience you can expect with your Summer's favorite captain. Bring whatever you like to eat along with some beverages to enjoy as well.
